In this video clip the Driving Instructor explains some basic car checks which you can carry out regularly and simply. The driving tester will ask you 3 questions related to these checks so it is in your interest to listen carefully to this demonstration. This video is very useful for anyone who wishes to maintain their own vehicle and improve fuel economy and even though the video is from the UK, almost identical checks are carried out on the Irish driving test. Car Check Video – Checks Inside The Car
This video is similar to the previous one, the difference is the car checks are carried out inside the cockpit of the vehicle by the Driving Instructor. On the driving test you may be asked 2 or 3 questions about the secondary controls by the tester. They can ask you to demonstrate how to turn on your fog lights or use your window washer fluid. Remember the video is only a visual aid which should only be re-enforcing what your Driving Instructor has already explained to you.If you are unsure or not confident with any of your secondary controls, ask your Driving Instructor to explain how they work and when they should be used correctly.
